Piscina Mirabilis - Campi Flegrei on-line

Great terminal fo Serino aqueduct, Piscina Mirabilis was built to solve the problem of watering.
70 metres x 25, x 15 metres of height a volume of 120 metres of water, sink in the tufa stone, is the most strately Roman cistern, never found before.
The inner space consist of 48 cruciform pillars.
On the flor of the short nave there is a bacin 1,10 metres deep that probably was used to clean and empty the cistern. Outside the cistern there are 12 small rooms
